Mechanical locks and deadbolts

Cylinders and key systems

• Typical warranty: 12 months
• Covers cylinder failure not caused by tampering, weather exposure, or wear from improper key use.

Door closers

• Typical warranty: 12 months
• Includes brands such as Ryobi, Dorma, Lockwood
• Warranty generally covers internal spring failure and manufacturing faults.

Electronic and smart locks

• Typical warranty: 12 months
• Applies to models such as Yale, McGrath Carbine,
• Manufacturers often require proof of purchase for warranty claims. We supply this automatically on your invoice.

Automotive lock and key parts

• Typical warranty: 12 months
• Covers transponder keys, remotes, and vehicle lock hardware based on the manufacturer policy.

To support insurance claims, rental agreements, break in reports, or compliance checks, our invoices include:

• Whether the product is compliant with Australian Standards (if required)
• Technician details
• Date and time of attendance
• Work carried out
• Labour and parts itemised
• Any notes relevant to break ins, damage, or forced entry

If you need additional documentation for insurance or strata, we can supply it upon request.

Warranties may not apply if damage is caused by:

• Forced entry, attempted break ins, or vandalism
• Improper use or unauthorised modification
• Exposure to weather when the product is not rated for outdoor use
• Wear and tear beyond normal limits
• Lack of maintenance on commercial doors or closers
• Work performed by another tradesperson after installation
